Below are a few updates regarding transition at Fisher More 2021:
Fisher More website has a variety of Transition Resources available for use by parents / carers or by Year 6 class teachers including a Preparing for Fisher More PowerPoint, a Virtual Tour of the school and accompanying quiz and Welcome Letters from past pupils and Mr Crabtree.
UPDATE 10TH JUNE 2021
It is with regret that unfortunately, due to a change of advice with current guidance, we will no longer be able to offer a personal visit from the pastoral team at Fisher More or for pupils to visit our school community during the taster days which were originally planned for 24th and 25th June 2021. As a result, we are in the process of arranging for alternative virtual opportunities that will provide Year 6 pupils and parents / carers with an authentic transition experience this year.
We will soon be sending out details of the alternative virtual provision within the next few days. The parents' information evening on Thursday 24th June will still be taking place virtually and zoom codes will be sent out to all primary schools to share with parents and carers.
If anyone has any questions, please get in touch.
Form groups will be decided during the first week in June and schools will be contacted at this point to confirm which pupils will attend which days. If anyone has any questions regarding this, please do get in touch.
The Parents Information Evening will take place on Thursday 24th June where parents and carers will be given a time to attend one of two presentations throughout the evening. Once again, this information will be sent out to all schools after the half term break.
Thank you and we look forward to welcoming all of Year 6 to Fisher More very soon.

PARK HIGH SCHOOL YEAR 6 TRANSITION UPDATE
It is with disappointment that we have had to cancel the planned face to face transition day due to the ongoing concerns with the new variant of Covid 19 and the growing number of cases in our local area. We were planned, ready and really looking forward to the event - we even had a huge balloon arch in the colours of the students' new Park Houses at the ready to welcome them through the gates!
Despite the cancellation of the transition day we are still hoping to be able to visit the students in their primary schools in the coming weeks. I will now be in touch imminently to arrange a virtual or face to face meet with students to put their minds at ease and settle any nerves.
In addition we will be sharing a welcome to Park assembly, virtually, with our students and parents on the 24th June, as well as sending individual letters to students to reveal their new Park High school House and Form group.
As it stands our planned outdoor Summer School is still due to go ahead.
Once again we apologise for the enforced change of plan but the safety and wellbeing of all remains our number one priority.
