Daily School Routines
Arrival at School
On arrival at school each morning, all pupils - both infant and junior - assemble on the school playgrounds. Parents have been advised that pupils should not arrive at school much before 8.40am as this may result in inadequate supervision. Members of staff will be on duty from 8.45am. The Headteacher is responsible for the supervision of pupils before morning school and this duty commences at 8.45am. At 8.55am a bell is rung and the children are to line up in their class lines. The class teachers then collect their classes from the yards. KS2 children enter school through the junior yard whilst KS1 and Reception enter school through the wildlife area further up Red Lane.
Wet Weather Arrangements
In the event of wet weather, children are to come straight into the school hall on arrival. They are to use the resources provided until their class teacher is ready. When the bell rings the children should line up in their class lines, older classes may be sent to their class bases if their teacher is present. They will be asked to read quietly whilst awaiting the school bell.
Dismissal (3.10/3:15pm)
Reception - Parents should wait outside the classroom to collect the children. No child should be allowed to leave until a suitable (known) person is there to collect them.
Years 1 & 2 - Leave through the main entrance for KS1 and are seen to be collected by a suitable person.
Any children that are not collected should wait in the Key Stage 1 ICT area for their parents. Parents should be contacted as soon as possible to ascertain the reason for their delay. Any child who is still waiting at 3:30pm should be placed in Afterschool Club.
Key Stage 2 - Leave though the junior entrance and should be collected from the playground. Members of staff should lead their class out of the school to ensure the children leave in an orderly fashion. Any child who is not picked up should wait outside the Afterschool Club classroom. Any children who have not been collected by 3.35pm will be placed in Afterschool Club.
