Physical Education & School Sports
The P.E. and Sport Grant for the 2013 to 2014 academic year is funded over two financial years as follows:

Sacred Heart was allocated £7,535.00 plus £5.00 per eligible pupil.
65% of the grant has been received with 35% due on 30th April.
Sacred Heart used the grant money in the following ways:
1) To buy into the Pendle Sports Partnership - Ensuring we receive entry into all of Pendle's various competitions, which include netball, football, tag rugby, cricket, hockey, tri golf, multi - skills, boccia, athletics, orienteering, rounders and swimming
Free coaching in 5 sports of our choice. Bikeability for year 5. Free use of equipment.
2) To employ a School Sports Co-ordinator through FisherMore - To receive weekly PE lessons, to facilitate competition between the schools in the FisherMore cluster.
3) To employ a part - time Sports co-ordinator. - To co-ordinate extra curricular activities, deliver sessions in curriculum and extra curriculum.
To deal with all things sport related on behalf of the school. To facilitate the school sports inclusion programme. To diversify - allowing our children to try new things - such as horse riding, fencing, sailing and climbing.
4) To purchase archery sessions for the school.
5) To purchase new ropes for the climbing frame
6) For sundry items for school sports day.
Hopefully this grant will be available again for the 2014/15 Academic Year.
